Every tool on this site runs inside your browser. When you paste text into the Sentence Rhythm Analyser, the Passive Voice and Nominalisation Finder, the Filler, Hedge and Cliché Finder, the Spelling Consistency Checker or the Word Echo Finder, the analysis is done by JavaScript running on your own machine. Nothing you paste is sent anywhere, stored in a database, or logged against your name.

What happens when you paste a draft

The tool reads the paragraph or the section you've pasted, works through it, and shows you the result on the same page, in the same load. Close the tab and there is nothing left over to delete, because nothing was kept in the first place. That's worth knowing if the draft you're checking is a client report, a patient letter, a manuscript, or anything else you'd rather not hand to a server you don't control.

Accounts and cookies

There's no account to set up and no sign-in, so there's no password, email address or history of past visits attached to you. The site doesn't set cookies to recognise you from one visit to the next or to build up a picture of which drafts you've pasted where.

Analytics

Where traffic to the site is measured at all, it isn't measured in a way that identifies a visitor: no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, nothing that links a page view back to a particular person or device.
